Teaching UX grounded in real product systems. 10+ years of experience across gaming, enterprise, e-commerce, and edtech.
My teaching is heavily informed by my day-to-day work as a Design Leader at Electronic Arts (EA) and my past roles at Consulting, mid-sized companies, and startups. I bring real-world constraints, complex system design, and data-heavy product scenarios directly into the classroom.
My classrooms are built on project-based learning using real product scenarios. I emphasize critical decision making, trade-offs, and continuous iteration. Currently, I focus heavily on integrating AI tools within UX workflows to ensure students are prepared for the modern industry.
"You are genuinely one of the best instructors I've had... The way you explain concepts is exceptional. I looked forward to coming to class each week, and didn't see my UX project as work at all."
"His greatest strength lies in his calm, composed, and empathetic approach. He has a unique ability to explain concepts in multiple ways, demonstrating a deep understanding that everyone’s mind works differently."
"Engaging the class with thought-provoking exercises instead of just sticking to the course notes. I also love how he integrates UI philosophies and industry best practices into the course."
"Vijit provides a welcoming classroom environment, encouraging participation and open discussion. Explanations are clear and relatable, making complex ideas easier to understand."
I am actively available for part-time, adjunct, and sessional teaching roles, as well as guest lectures and corporate workshops across Greater Vancouver area and remotely.
