Hi! I'm Vijit. I transform complexity into clarity using user research, rapid prototyping, and interaction design skills.
Designing an application to track and resolve listing errors on online marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, eBay
Design should be instinctive for the user without relying on instructions. If you need to explain it, redesign it.
There is no finish line to design with each iteration, an opportunity to get it better for the user.
Be receptive to feedback from others, creating a collaborative and inclusive approach to the design.
Vijit has a zest for the work he does and calm demeanor that people gravitate towards. He always brings out the best in those around him and is an absolute joy to be around. At Spreetail, Vijit made managing projects and ambiguity look easy. He was our go-to for all things UX research...
I'm super grateful that I got the chance to work with Vijit. He's thoughtful, calculated, driven, and most importantly, a friend. In the UX world, I think honesty and clarity are two of the most important things a team can look to develop, and Vijit helped contribute to that culture at Spreetail.
An absurdly capable designer, and a genuine joy to be around. Vijit brings a real sense of being grounded and rational in his approach to design. He's always the one to approach things from both aspects of design - one eye looking to the scientific side of things, the other looking to the artistic side.
I started as a front-end engineer, lost in lines of JavaScript, but it was working in Tokyo that changed everything. Design was everywhere, from the packaging on a 7-Eleven egg sandwich to the elegance of the subway system, and I couldn't ignore it anymore.
So I traded React JS for Figma and leaped into product design. 10+ years across auditing, education, healthcare, tax services, and the gaming industry have given me a knack for turning messy, complicated problems into something simple and intuitive.
Outside of work, you'll find me cheering on Liverpool, experimenting in the kitchen for my wife (results vary), catching films whenever I can, or playing badminton at the local rec center.
