Hi! I'm Vijit. I transform complexity into clarity using user research, rapid prototyping, and interaction design skills.
Designing a centralized AI marketplace enabling practitioners to create, manage, and safely use AI-powered “skills” for consulting workflows.
Design should be instinctive for the user without relying on instructions. If you need to explain it, redesign it.
There is no finish line to design with each iteration, an opportunity to get it better for the user.
Be receptive to feedback from others, creating a collaborative and inclusive approach to the design.
Vijit has a zest for the work he does and calm demeanor that people gravitate towards. He always brings out the best in those around him and is an absolute joy to be around. At Spreetail, Vijit made managing projects and ambiguity look easy. He was our go-to for all things in UXR & Figma.
I'm super grateful that I got the chance to work with Vijit. He's thoughtful, measured, driven, and most importantly, a friend. In the UX world, I think honesty and clarity are two of the most important things a team can look to develop, and Vijit helped contribute to that culture at Spreetail.
Vijit consistently brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas for continuous improvement. He brings the best UX practices to the table, seamlessly aligning stakeholders and facilitating workshops. His cross-functional collaboration with designers, developers, and product teams has been the key to the success of countless projects.
I started my career lost in lines of JavaScript as a front-end engineer, but living in Tokyo changed everything. Seeing how thoughtful design permeated every aspect of daily life—from convenience store packaging to the intricate subway system—prompted me to trade my keyboard for a sketchbook and leap into product design.
With 10+ years of experience across consulting, e-commerce, education, healthcare, and the gaming industry, I specialize in turning messy, complicated problems into simple, intuitive experiences. I believe great design is instinctive, iterative, and driven by a collaborative approach to uncover clarity hidden within complexity.
Mentorship & Industry Leadership Design is as much about craft as it is about community. I am a regular industry speaker, a Lead UX Instructor, and a judge for hackathons across Vancouver at universities like UBC, SFU, and Emily Carr. Whether I'm guiding emerging designers, helping students refine their portfolios, or evaluating innovative hackathon projects, I see these moments as my way to give back and help shape the future of design.
Outside of Work You'll find me passionately cheering on Liverpool in their quest for EPL glory, experimenting in the kitchen for my wife (results vary), indulging my cinephile side, or playing badminton at the local rec center.
